The cast and crew of Naslen’s next movie, Mollywood Times, attended a traditional pooja and switch-on ceremony in Kochi on Monday. As previously announced by the producers, filming is set to start on August 1. It is the second directing project of editor-turned-filmmaker Abhinav Sunder Nayak, who made a remarkable debut with the Vineeth Sreenivasan-starring Mukundan Unni Associates in 2022. It is produced by Ashiq Usman under his brand.
With the title ‘A Hate Letter to Cinema,’ Mollywood Times, written by Rekhachithram co-writer Ramu Sunil, has been launched in 2024, suggesting a backdrop centered on the Malayalam film industry. The film’s narrative, genre, and extended cast have not yet been revealed by the producers. Jakes Bejoy, who is on a great run after Officer On Duty, Thudarum, and Narivetta’s hat-trick achievement, wrote the music for it.
